This is Banco Nacional. One of the state owned banks in Costa Rica. This is the main branch in San Pedro. When open an armed guard stands our front with what looks like an R-4.

I am a cowboy in the jungle, a pirate that has already turned 40. And of course, we are all the people our parents warned us about. And Cheeseburgers in Paradise are about twice what they cost in the States. Oh and if you don't use Firefox as your browser I am not responsible for the appearance of this blog.

So have you heard what's the deal about the sidewalks? They don't have enough money to fix them or just too expensive to do, no matter how much money the city has? But I guess if nobody fusses about them, why fix them?

Ruby Estelle
In typical Costa Rican fashion the money that is allocated to fix the sidewalks is probably going into a secret retirement fund for the head of public works. I am sure he wants to buy a nice house in Escazu when he retires.
